Arlington teacher receives international ESL award

Michelle Sluder, who teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) at Arlington Middle School and Arlington High School, has been chosen to receive the 2014 TESOL ESL Virginia French Allen Award.

The award was provided by the TESOL International Association. TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

This international award is given to an educator that has provided contributions to the field of educating English Language Learners and the greater community.

She will receive this award at the annual TESOL ESL Convention in March in Toronto, Canada.
