Arlington hands Lady Dragons their first loss

Lauren Taylor’s 16 points weren’t enough Tuesday night to keep Collierville’s 3-0 record intact as the Lady Dragons fell to Arlington 54-39 at home.

Raegyn Branch paced the Lady Tigers with 13 points and Ashley Lee and Callie McMorran each chipped in 11 points.

Despite being down 13-9 at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Dragons used a 17-10 run in the second to take a 26-23 lead into halftime.

However, Arlington scorched Collierville 18-4 to open the second half and the Lady Dragons never recovered.

Arlington is now 2-1 on the season and will host Ridgeway on Dec. 1. The Lady Dragons are 3-1 and will host Olive Branch on Nov. 30.
