Arlington festival welcomes young and old, people and pets

 

The popular April in Arlington festival on Saturday was a welcome treat for locals ready to get out of the house for a day. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., visitors on the Historic Depot Square enjoyed demos, more than 115 craft and food vendors, children’s activities, lives acts on stage and tours of the town’s historic buildings, including the blacksmith shop, log cabin, post office and hotel/museum.

Admission to the event was free.

The children’s activities include train rides, bouncy houses, face painting and the spider jump. The demonstration vendros showed how to make soap, work with wood, create art and make brooms.

The entertainment stage showcasee the Arlington Elementary juggling team, the Joy McDaniel Academy of Dance, the bands The Remnants and School of Rock from Germantown, and more.
