Bartlett Elementary students participated in the national “Read Across America” program last week centering around Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Organized by the school’s librarians, teachers and students wore Christmas colors to celebrate the reading of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” Thursday and costumes were worn on Friday to replicate “The Cat in the Hat.”
The annual event is to promote the value of reading to young people.

Schools throughout the country took part in the event to promote reading in schools.
