Bartlett, Arlington, Lakeland and Bolton students were among the performers who sang their hearts out Saturday at the 2015 All Southwest junior and senior high choir concerts. The event, held at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, featured two of the top honor choirs in the state performing 2-5 p.m.
The Junior High Honor Choir Clinician was Dr. Julie Yu, co-director of choral studies at Kansas State University, where she oversees eight choral ensembles and teaches undergraduate and graduate choral conducting.
The Senior High Honor Choir Clinician was Dr. André Thomas, the Owen F. Sellers Professor of Music at Florida State University and a professional with extensive international conducting credits.
