An Arlington High School teacher allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with a student, according to a call the AHS principal received on May 17.

The specific behavior alleged has not been publicly revealed.

A school statement released to parents that afternoon noted that no student has been identified, and the school has not received a student complaint. Despite rumors to the contrary, no teacher was escorted off the property.

The employee has denied the allegations.

Following school board policy, AHS immediately suspended the teacher without pay and notified law enforcement and the Department of Children’s Services. The employee will remain suspended and will not be allowed on school property, pending the outcome of the investigation.
