Kaleigh Jordan of Bartlett and the community worked together to make the Christmas season jollier for all the female officers in three precincts this year – Bartlett, Munford and Memphis. Each officer received a gift bag that was personalized with the officer’s name and a note about the person or family who adopted her. One gift-giver was even a former Bartlett resident now living in Utah. Jordan said she has taken part in this program since 2016, when the entire Bartlett Police Department was adopted. She said, “This year I want to focus on the women and give back to those who empower others everyday. These women are moms, sometime single moms, wives, daughters and sisters out there risking their lives everyday. It’s pretty incredible what they do and get very little if any recognition at all for it. I am very grateful for each woman and man who wears the badge and my gratitude for Bartlett will never cease. It’s been a privilege to give back to those who serve our community. I highly encourage mnembers of Bartlett to get involved and get to know their officers by doing a cop stop or do the Citizens Academy. They are an amazing group of people.” PICTURED: Kaleigh Jordan, at left, presents Bartlett Officer Sharon Banton with a gift bag. Courtesy photo.
