Moriah House, a ministry of the Memphis Union Mission, represented by counselor Ariyana Rimson, at left, recently accepted a $2,400 fundraiser check from Vicky McLean, president of New Neighbors of the Greater Memphis Area.
New Neighbors is a nonprofit organization that provides social activities to citizens all over the greater Memphis area, including Bartlett, Arlington and Lakeland. The organization is involved in community services that include Memphis Child Advocacy, Collierville Animal Shelter, the Crisis Center, LeBonheur, Page Robbins Daycare, and Collierville Literacy Council, and its leaders welcome suggestions for other ways to serve.
The organization hosts a welcome coffee the second Thursday of each month to get to know new people and we have a monthly luncheon for members and guests. See the group’s website at newneighbors.org.
