A joyful noise

Guy Penrod treated fans of contemporary Christian and Southern gospel music to a soulful concert in Bartlett Friday night at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center. He got his start singing back-up vocals for the likes of Amy Grant, James Ingram, Shania Twain and Garth Brooks. Then he became the lead singer for the Gaither Vocal Band, and the rest is history. He has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry, Larry’s Country Diner and 100 Huntley Street as well as hosting the Emmy Award winning Gospel Music Showcase.
