Bartlett police recovered a carjacked vehicle and conducted an investigation that led to the suspects’ arrests last week, among handling other cases.
The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) reported the following incidents for Dec. 29, 2014, through Jan. 4, 2015.

Dec. 29
U.S. 64 (business burglary)
Someone stole 32-inch LG LED televisions from two rooms at the Suburban Lodge (7380 U.S. 64), an employee reported on Dec. 29. It appeared that the thief used a screwdriver on the door to gain entry.
Elpine Gray (burglary)
A resident on Elpine Gray reported a home break-in and thefts on Dec. 29. She said someone broke in through the locked back door between 9 a.m. and 9:50 p.m. that day.
Items missing included electronics, jewelry and car rims. While on scene, the responding officer found the victim’s flat-screen TV along the back yard fence near the gate.
Dec. 30
Old Brownsville Road (carjacking)
Armed carjackers made off with a man’s car at the Highland Condominiums around 8:20 p.m. Dec. 30, but suspects have since been identified, arrested and charged. Highland Condos are off Old Brownsville Road, south of Yale Road.
The victim said he stayed in his car for about five minutes after pulling into his parking spot. When he walked to his trunk to retrieve work items, the first suspect approached him from behind with a handgun and said, “Give me money and do not move.”
The victim handed over his keys, and two other suspects walked up. The trio left in the stolen car.
Dec. 31
Burton Church Cove (auto theft)
A woman discovered her vehicle was missing around 8:45 a.m. Dec. 31 when she left her residence on Burton Church Cove, in the Highland Condos. She last saw it around 7:30 p.m. the previous day.
While the responding officer was on scene, dispatch received a call about the vehicle, which was parked in front of the condos on Gatehouse Drive.
The vehicle’s right rear door window was broken and the steering column was heavily damaged.
Fiske Road (auto theft)
A Fiske Road resident reported around 5:30 p.m. Dec. 30 that his Chevrolet Suburban was stolen from his front yard.
He wasn’t able to advise when it was taken. BPD dispatch advised him that the Memphis Police Department had the vehicle in their impound lot.
Jan. 3
Germantown Road (auto burglary)
Someone broke into a customer’s 2014 Honda CRV while it was parked at Wolfchase Honda (2982 Germantown Road) sometime between 12:10 p.m. and 12:20 p.m. on Dec. 3.
The only item missing was a bag containing 50 rolls of coins (10 rolls of quarters, 10 rolls of dimes, 10 rolls of nickels, and 20 rolls of pennies) with a total value of $180.
