Bartlett police rank nationally for social media
The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) is ranked sixth nationally among departments its size for the success of its Facebook page, which now hasmore than 18,000 “likes.” (They also have a Twitter feed.)
The ranking came from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and the BPD was in the category of departments with 100-249 sworn officers.
Congratulations also to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for ranking sixth among departments with 500+ officers. Their Facebook page now has almost 40,000 “likes.” (They also have a Twitter feed.)
2 local students win statewide for fire posters
Congratulations to two area high school students who earned top honors in their divisions of the state Fire Safety Poster Contest:
- Holly Tinsley of Bartlett High School (Special Needs Division, Grades 6-12), sponsored by the Bartlett Fire Department.
- Tate Hill from Arlington High School (10th Grade Division), sponsored by the Arlington Fire Department
