Bon Lin Elementary’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) honored its top essayists with a Winners’ Dinner on Dec. 9 for their work on the theme, “If I Were President for a Day,” for the Tennessee PTA Citizenship Essay Writing Contest.

In preparation for the contest, the PTA also recently hosted an essay writing workshop to allow interested students the opportunity to polish their essays with guidance from Bon Lin Elementary teachers. These winning essays will be submitted to the Shelby County Council’s essay contest as well as being submitted to the state-level contest.
