Single actor stages show about Scrooge
Following a tradition begun by Charles Dickens himself, award-winning British-born actor Jeremy Webb’s one-man version of this Christmas classic captures the holiday spirit at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Community Center. He plays all 30 roles, changing characters in the blink of an eye, from the Ghost of Christmas Past to Tiny Tim to the miserly and ultimately transformed Ebenezer Scrooge.
This fully staged production from Halifax, Nova Scotia, also incorporates larger-than-life puppets, portraying the ghosts in this tale about redemption and charity.
The performance begins at 8 p.m. Dec. 19 and is sponsored by Ave Marie Home and Williams Sign Company. Tickets are $25 or one admission from a ticketholder’s “Pick 10” Season tickets package ($180).
For tickets, see bpacc.org/166/Ticket-Info or call the box office at (901) 385-6440.
