‘Movies in the Park’ ends Friday

Movies in the ParkDon’t miss the last of Bartlett’s “Movies in the Park” for this summer. Show-ing on the big screen this Friday night: “The Incredibles.”

Food vendors will be at W. J. Freeman Park by 7 p.m., with the movie starting around 8 p.m. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, and enjoy a free, fun and kid-friendly show. Watch their Facebook page for any updates.

TDOT schedules public hearing for I-40/Canada Road project

Lakeland residents who want to chip in about the I-40/Canada Rd Project will get their chance this week.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is hosting a public meeting 6-7 p.m. tonight (July 10) at the Stonebridge Golf Course, 3049 Davies Plantation Road.

Small Business Survival 101The Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) will present another one-hour session in the “Staying Ahead of the Curve Small Business Seminars” on July 10. The topic is, “The State of Small Business Ownership & The Eight Elements Necessary for a Lasting Business,” presented by Tom Pease.

Pease is president of e/Doc Systems and the author of “Small Business Survival 101.”

The event starts at 8 a.m. July 10 at the BACC Office, 2969 Elmore Park Road, Bartlett. Books will be available for sale for $15 after the seminar.

BACC members can attend for free; the fee is $25 for non-members.
