Bartlett’s Annie Longoria and Sam Childers were among the St. Benedict at Auburndale High School’s trap team members that ended their inaugural season in Nashville at the Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program State Championship on June 20 at the Nashville Gun Club.
The Eagles placed 19th out of 54 teams in the Junior Varsity category. Rising sophomore Ivan Scheidhauer tied for fourth place in the individual championship. The team is elated with these results considering they have only been shooting together for four months and competed in just three tournaments previously.
Graduated senior Jackie Glover was selected to receive a $750 scholarship from the TNSCTP.
