A Bartlett resident died in a three-vehicle wreck Monday afternoon at the intersection of Billy Maher Road and Daybreak Drive.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s office, Eugene Delong of Bartlett ran a stop sign as he entered Billy Maher Road from Daybreak Drive, his black Chevy Avalanch hitting a Silverado traveling north. The impact sent both vehicles spinning, and both rolled over. The Silverado then struck a third vehicle that carried two passengers, one of whom was a female taken to Regional One Medical Center in stable condition.
Delong, 45 was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident was reported to the Sheriff’s Office just before 4 p.m. Monday.
