Harley is not keen on getting his rabies shot, but owner Bailey Jamison brought him to a special event at the Bartlett Animal Shelter on April 26 anyway. The fund-raiser allowed pet owners to bring their pets in to receive the vaccine and, if desired, also be fitted with a microchip. In the center, Dr. Shannon McGee from the Collierville Animal Hospital gives the little pooch his shot with help from Bartlett Animal Control employee Jay Jones. Sponsors were Rock 103 radio station and Hollywood Feed. The event vaccinated 125 animals and fitted 95 with microchips. The total amount raised for the shelter was $3,500. Photo by Tyrone Randall
