Kevin C. “Ski” Stachowski, 48, of Moss Point, Miss., passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Kevin was born on Oct. 30, 1969, in Chicago, Ill., to Lorraine and the late Alvin Stachowski. Kevin was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Knights of Columbus, Boy Scout Troop 230, Delta Sigma Omega and Kappa Alpha fraternities. Kevin loved grilling, boating on the Pascagoula River, soapbox derbies and community service. Kevin was employed as a paralegal with the Jackson County Board attorney’s office. Kevin was proud to say he received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Women. Kevin was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all that knew him. He will be truly missed by all.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Stachowski.
He is survived by his wife, Susan May Stachowski; children, Kevin (Olivia) Stachowski and Christine Stachowski; Mother, Lorraine Stachowski; brothers, Michael (Jennifer) Stachowski, Daniel (Kathy) Stachowski, Steven (Lisa) Stachowski, John (Cyndi) Stachowski and Paul Stachowski; sister, Karen (Terry) Stachowski Scott;and father- and mother-in-law, Duncan and Elena May, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The visitation was Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moss Point. A Memorial Mass followed at 1 p.m. with Father Casey Jones officiating. A private burial took place on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point.
Pallbearers were Michael Stachowski, Daniel Stachowski, Steven Stachowski, John Stachowski, Paul Stachowski and Quin Gammill. Honorary pallbearers were Rickey Livingston, Terry Scott, Ray Brown, Rob Smith, Jay Fike, Jeff Waldon, Tony McCormack, Buck Canfield, Tommy Dickson, Boy Scout Troop 230, Delta Sigma Omega and Kappa Alpha fraternities.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in honor of Kevin.
