Nothing says a celebration of America’s Independence Day like an evening outdoors with neighbors and a sky full of glorious fireworks. Bartlett and Arlington have big fun planned.
Bartlett festivities
Bartlett’s Fireworks Extravaganza will be July 3 on the lawn of the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center and Appling Middle School. There will be activities for all ages, including a car display, children’s activities, concessions and more. When the sun goes down, the night sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks show.
Appling Road between Appling Lake and Southern Way will close to traffic starting at 4:30 p.m. on that day because of the impending event.
The schedule includes:
- 6 p.m.: Opening ceremony with the Posting of the Colors by the Bartlett Police Department’s Honor Guard, a performance of the national anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance.
- 6:15 p.m.: Welcome and recognition of attending elected officials and members of the military, veterans and their families.
- 6:30 p.m.: Music by the Bartlett Community Concert Band.
- 7:45 p.m.: Dance time to the music of Jamie Baker & the VIPs.
- 9:15 p.m.: Fireworks.
