The event, hosted by Singleton Recreation Center, provided about 10,000 plastic eggs filled with prizes. Other attractions included temporary tattoos, safety information, and prizes for children who were lucky enough to find special eggs.
Youths also participated in the event’s first Easter Bonnet Contest, judged by Sue Tripp, Shan Criswell and Susan Word. Winners of the bonnet contest included:
- Ages 0-3: First place, Canaan Maser; and second place, Ella Reed
- Ages 4-5: First place, Jonah Maser; second place, Carter Plunk; and third place (two-way tie), Molly Marquis and Kinsey Duckworth
- Ages 6-7: First place, Alaina Hogan; second place, Molly Mutchler; and third place, Elijah Hart
- Ages 8-10: First place, Charlotte Mutchler; second place, Mallory Rawls; and third place, Ella Berg
Tawny Walker, Singleton facility manager, said, “We again experienced great attendance from our community for the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. It was exciting to see the large number of participants.”
She continued, “A special thank you to our sponsors Brother International and USA Karate, City of Bartlett staff members, and our dedicated volunteers for their support in continuing to make this a successful event.”
