Autumn Chance, an Appling Middle School seventh-grade student, is one of 71 state spellers who qualified to participate in the Tennessee Titans Regional Spelling Bee.
To reach this level, Autumn had to score in the top 70 of all spellers. She will represent Appling and Bartlett City Schools in Nashville on March 10 at the Nissan Stadium – West Club, where a state-level winner will be selected.
The state-level winner and one parent will win an expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the 2018 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
