The Bartlett Police Department handled the following incidents for the period of Sept. 25-Oct. 1. This listing includes the most notable incidents for the reporting period and does not necessarily reflect all police activity.

Sept. 25
Banyon Lane
A woman reported that someone broke into her vehicle but the suspects left without taking anything. The incident happened just before midnight Sept. 24.
Ballard Street (theft from vehicle)
Someone stole a man’s 9mm handgun and laptop from a vehicle parked in his driveway. He said he thought the vehicle was locked, but officers didn’t see any pry marks or broken glass.
Ballard Street (theft from vehicle)
Someone entered a woman’s unlocked vehicle while it was parked in her driveway and took a jar of about $5 in coins. It happened between 9 p.m. Sept. 24 and 4 a.m. the next morning.
Richland Lake (auto burglary)
A man reported that someone burglarized his unlocked vehicle overnight and took a $20 bill from the driver’s side front door.
North Germantown Road (motor vehicle theft)
Someone stole a white Nissan Rogue from Wolfchase Nissan (2956 N. Germantown Road), as reported on Sept. 25. The last time anyone saw it on the lot was at 7:12 p.m. Sept. 22 when it was test driven. A spokesman said that one of the key fobs for the vehicle apparently was exchanged for a different vehicle’s key fob.
Narcissus (theft)
Someone stole two bill payments from a woman’s mailbox. She reported writing three checks from her bank account and putting the envelopes in her mailbox. An alarm notifies her when the mailbox is opened, and it went off about five minutes later. When she went outside to pick up her mail, she saw a blue truck at her mailbox, and it drove off. She discovered that two of her bill payments were missing.
Stage Road (disturbance and medical assistance call)
Officers responded to a call from Grand Pacific Restaurant (6105 Stage Road) around 3:18 p.m. They found a victim lying on the floor, actively seizing and bleeding from the face. Another patron, a nurse, was helping him.
Witnesses said four people at an adjacent table were being loud and cursing. The victim first asked them to be quiet and then notified the manager, who asked the suspects to leave. As the four walked past the victim, one of them punched him, causing him to have a seizure, according to the witnesses and video evidence.
The four suspects returned to the table, made more threats and swung crutches toward other people. The suspects were gone by the time officers arrived. A witness followed them outside and took note of their vehicle.
Sept. 26
Calla (auto burglary)
A man said someone rummaged through his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. He found his sunglasses in the front yard, but nothing was stolen.
Sept. 27
East Lake Oaks Drive and surrounding area (auto burglaries)
An officer en route to a reported auto burglary learned from dispatch about several such burglaries in the area. At the first stop, a victim said someone broke out the driver’s side window and stole a chainsaw from the back seat.
On Bartlett Boulevard, a second victim said someone stole $30 in cash from his unlocked vehicles.
On Pinnacle Point, a third victim said someone stole $20 in cash from her unlocked vehicle.
A fourth victim, also on Pinnacle Point, said someone rummaged through her unlocked vehicle but nothing was missing.
The fifth victim, a resident of East Lake Oaks Drive, reported that someone rummaged through her vehicle too but nothing was stolen.
Stage Hills Boulevard (theft from building)
Someone stole three generators from a construction site overnight.
Unspecified address (theft)
A man reported that someone stole a black iPhone 6 and pistol from his father’s vehicle between 11:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. on Sept. 21.
Stone Hill (theft)
A woman said someone stole her orange Echo Blower from her open garage around 4:10 p.m. Her security camera showed an old black Grand Am pull up, and a suspect exited and ran to her garage. The suspect fled with the blower eastbound on St. Elmo.
Craven Road (non-residential burglary)
A man noticed that the trim was knocked off the door frame to his garage and that the latch side of the door was broken. He looked further and found that his DeWalt compound miter saw was missing.
Craven Road (burglary)
A man said someone took his yellow Stihl chainsaw from his garage while he was away from home between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Sept. 28
Germantown Road (memo)
A woman reported that someone took her daughter’s iPhone during an event at Bon Lin Middle School the previous day. The daughter put the phone on a lunch table near the stage around 4:30 p.m., and by 5 p.m. the phone was gone.
U.S. 64 (theft)
A woman flagged down an officer on routine patrol in the Walmart parking lot (8400 U.S. 64) and said she believes someone stole her iPhone from the store’s front bathroom. She was in the restroom there around 2:45 p.m., and she realized around 4 p.m. that her phone was missing.
Sept. 29
Boyd Lane (vandalism)
A man reported that someone flattened the two passenger-side tires of his vehicle while it was parked on the street between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Bartlett Heights Avenue (theft from yard)
A woman reported that her daughter left her phone outside and someone stole it.
Sept. 30
Santa Cruz (theft)
A man’s barking dog woke him up around 3:30 a.m., and he looked outside to see a dark newer-model Mustang parked on the street in front of his house. When the man opened the side door of his home, the person jumped into the Mustang and drove westbound toward U.S. 70.
The victim noticed his driver’s side door was unlocked, the battery was dead and about a quarter tank of gas had been siphoned. The responding officer observed minor damage on the driver’s side door lock, similar to an attempt at punching the lock.
Oct. 1
Appling Road (theft of motorcycle)
A victim said someone cut the padlock from his storage shed and took his 2009 Harley Davidson Street Glide. He locked the motorcycle in the shed around 9 p.m. Sept. 30 and realized it was missing around 9:50 a.m. Oct. 1.
The responding officer found a cut padlock on the ground near the shed door, and a board propped open the doorway. The owner described the motorcycle as a two-tone “root beer” color with numerous chrome accessories and chrome wheels.
Good Fortune Cove (theft from motor vehicle)
Someone stole a handgun from a man’s truck while it was parked and unlocked in his driveway. The victim said he had been looking for the weapon for the past three weeks, thinking that he might have misplaced it. Neighbors told him there were auto burglaries in the area a few weeks earlier, and the victim speculated that the gun might have been taken then.
