The Bartlett Police Department handled the following incidents for May 8-14, 2017. This listing includes the most notable incidents for the reporting period and does not necessarily reflect all police activity.

May 8
Wolf Willow Lane (vandalism)
A man reported that someone broke his pickup’s window ($250) while it was parked on the street between 7 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.
Robin Hop Lane (burglary of an automobile): Someone broke into a woman’s Jeep Cherokee between approximately 8:45 p.m. April 28 and 9 a.m. April 29 while it was parked in her driveway. The intruder stole some loose change. She reported the incident on May 8.
Robin Hop Lane (theft from motor vehicle)
A man reported that someone burglarized his Pontiac Sunfire while it was parked in his driveway between about 6 p.m. May 4 and 9 a.m. May 6. He reported the incident on May 8.
He said the car was unlocked, and the only thing taken was loose change. Someone stole a black foldable mountain bike from his front porch area during the same time period.
May 9
West Grove Road (vandalism)
A man found the rear passenger tire slashed ($150) on his Jeep Liberty and reported the damages on May 9. He said it happened between 6 p.m. April 6 and 7 a.m. April 7 while the Jeep was parked on the street in front of his home.
May 11
Ravencrest Cove North (theft)
A thief took gas logs ($1,005) from a home under construction, the victim reported on May 11. The logs were already installed in the fireplace, and the victim said someone likely entered through the home’s unlocked front door.
Misty River (theft)
A woman reported on May 11 that someone stole her son’s wallet at Bartlett High School between noon and 2:20 p.m. the previous day. He described it as a black leather Nike bi-fold wallet containing several personal items. He retraced his steps and checked lost-and-found, but he was unable to locate it.
U.S. 64 (theft)
Someone stole a handgun from a man’s vehicle while he was parked at Firebirds (8470 U.S. 64), the victim reported on May 11. He last saw the weapon around 7 a.m.
The man gave a co-worker a ride to work and both were supposed to leave around 3 p.m., but the victim’s replacement was late. The co-worker waited in the victim’s vehicle but said he found another ride and left.
When the victim finally got off work around 5 p.m., he noticed that his vehicle was locked and his stainless steel 9mm semiautomatic handgun was missing.
May 12
Stage Road (auto burglary)
A woman who parked on Stage Road around 6:10 p.m. on May 12 found it burglarized and damaged when she returned around 7:20 p.m. Several items in her Ford Excursion were in disarray, and her Pumpkin touchscreen radio ($245) was missing. An unknown suspect had punched one of the door locks ($150) to enter.
May 13
Vera Louise Circle (residential burglary)
An unknown suspect broke into a woman’s home but didn’t take anything, she reported on May 13. She said she left around 6 p.m., and her son returned at 10:45 p.m. to discover the break-in.
He said the southwest bedroom’s window was open and the screen door had been pried open. The backyard gate on the home’s west side was open, and the home’s unlocked back door was open.
May 14
Bruntsfield Cove (residential burglary)
An unsecured garage was too tempting for burglars, a woman reported on May 14. She said her son usually leaves one garage door open but it was suspicious to her when she found both garage doors open. Sometime last week, an unknown suspect took her Sharp stainless steel microwave ($250) and her Canon DVD camcorder ($800) were both missing.
The son said that last week he saw a white pickup truck in the cove with two unknown Hispanic males sitting in the bed of the truck. He found it odd because they keep driving in and out of the cove.
