Panthers fall

The Bartlett Panthers lost a heartbreaker Monday night 48-47 to Arlington in the consolation game of the Dist. 14-AAA tournament at Bolton High School. Down 24-20 at the half, the Panthers used a 16-11 third quarter run to take a 1-point lead into the final quarter. However, behind Ray Price's 16 points, the Tigers outscored Bartlett 13-11 late to get the win and secure Arlington in third place within the district behind Cordova and Bolton, which were scheduled to play in the championship game Tuesday night after press deadline. Shemar Johnson paced Bartlett with 12 points and Jefferson Walker added 10. Both teams will be eligible to compete in the Regional Tournament later this week.
