Dodge the misery of the flu with a shot

Flu shots are now available at all locations of the Shelby County Health Department. Everyone over the age of six months is advised to get a shot annually, especially senior citizens, people in long-term care facilities, people with chronic medical conditions, pregnant women, caregivers of children younger than six months, nurses and other health care workers, and caretakers for people at high risk for flu complications.

The shots are free for TennCare clients and range from $20 to $45, depending on age, insurance and other factors.
