Trevor Thompson of Bartlett was recognized for his work with the Sickle Cell Disease at the Memphis Black Expo. Thompson, CEO of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Tennessee was previously honored as the 2010 Sickle Cell Chapter of the Year and Business of the Year by the Stone Awards. The foundation currently supports 2,500 clients in Tenn, Miss. and Ark. And opened a satellite facility in Nashville in 2011.
