Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) is offering free summer programs to help all incoming students strengthen their reading, writing and math skills to prepare them for college-level coursework.
The Skill Builder program is being offered each weekday inside the College’s Academic Success Centers at the Dyersburg campus, the Jimmy Naifeh Center at Tipton County and the Gibson County Center.
All incoming students may take advantage of this free program to assist in testing out of Learning Support courses before the fall semester begins.
Students whose ACT or COMPASS scores are below the minimum requirements to take college-level courses are encouraged to attend this program.
This program also offers a Brush-Up Session for non-traditional students needing to take the COMPASS test.
The Brush-Up is done before a student takes the COMPASS test.
To schedule a Skill Builder Session or a COMPASS Brush-Up Session, go to dscc.edu and click on “Future Students” and then select “Make an Appointment.”
