Donors who give blood or platelets in the month of March at any Lifeblood blood drive or donor center will receive a “lucky donor” T-shirt in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.
“We’re thankful to our donors for taking time out of their day to donate and do their part to help save lives in the Mid-South, and these shirts are just a small token of our gratitude for their efforts,” said Jennifer Balink, vice president of donor relations at Lifeblood. “Every single donation goes directly to local trauma centers and hospitals in need so the impact of that donation is widespread.”
In lieu of receiving a T-shirt, donors may opt to have a donation made on their behalf to their choice of one of four local agencies, each of which relies on a stable community blood supply: Mid-South Transplant Foundation, Sickle Cell Foundation, American Cancer Society (Mid-South Chapter), or Lifeblood.
