Arlington High School senior Catherine Miller has signed a scholarship to become a member of the women’s rifle shooting team next year at Texas Christian University.

It has been Catherine’s goal ever since she began precision shooting to shoot for such a top-ranked NCAA team. In January, she took gold medals in both air rifle and small bore at the Tennessee State Junior Olympics. She will be in Colorado Springs this spring to participate in the National Junior Olympics.

Miller likes to spend her limited spare time working as a mentor and coach with younger shooters who are getting started in the sport. At school she serves as vice president of the Student Government Association and is also a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta and the Spanish National Honor Society.
