Dr. Nicholas Gotten and his wife, Pamela, portray his grandparents who built the Gotten House, which is now home to the Bartlett Historical Society. They were among the cast of local residents who stepped into the roles and attire of Bartlett’s historical figures, starting from the 1860s all the way up to the present. An estimated 1,000 people attended the festivities of “Bartlett Memories” during the city’s historical weekend on April 16-17. The event celebrated the city’s 150th anniversary this year. Suzanne Griffith Coleman of the Bartlett Historical Society said, “It was a huge success. we were very happy that so many people came and learned about Bartlett history. We had so many people say they just learned a lot.” See more photos in the April 28 “Blanket Bartlett” edition of The Bartlett Express.
