St. Ann Catholic School’s teams celebrate latest academic honors

St. Ann Catholic School in Bartlett recently celebrated several academic victories.

“The Fantastic 7” team competed in the state Destination Imagination finals held in Nashville. More than100 teams were competing from across the entire state. The St. Ann team placed fifth in their team challenge category and ninth overall. They were also the top Memphis team in their group.

St. Ann also had two teams competing at the Knowledge Bowl local tournament held at St. Benedict High School at Auburndale. The red team made it to the finals and placed second.

The St. Ann yearbook once again has won two national awards. “The Hoofbeat” was honored as a silver medalist for the second year in a row at the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Yearbook Critiques in New York.

The book also received an Honorable Mention in the National Balfour Publishing Yearbook Best of Book honors. Yearbooks from all across the country were considered, and only a handful of middle schools received awards.
