Malco Bartlett to host ‘Bags for Kids’ and special April events

backpackThe Malco Bartlett Cinema is hosting the “Bags For Kids” Youth Villages event to benefit the kids of Youth Villages.

During April 1-30 the theater, located at 2809 Bartlett Boulevard, will be collecting new or slightly used sling bags, backpacks, duffel bags, and sports equipment bags. Donations will be accepted all month long.

If you have a child who has outgrown a backpack or bag, drop items off at the theatre so all can be shared with the kids at Youth Villages.

Theater lobby events are scheduled each weekend throughout the month of April:

  • April 7 and 8: Acting lessons by Indie Acting
  • April 15 and 16: Martial arts demonstrations
  • April 22 and 23: “Art, Film & Cosplay 101.” Learn the Art of Cosplaying your favorite film character and costume contest. (Editor’s note: “Cosplay” means “costume play.”)
  • April 29 and 30: Silent Charity Auction benefitting Youth Villages.
