Farm Bureau in Tennessee raises $350K to fight breast cancer

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The American Cancer Society recently recognized Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee for their 2015 campaign that raised more than $350,000 for the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” events in Tennessee.

Since partnering with the ACS in 2012, Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee has raised nearly $1.4 million through Farmer Charlie hat sales and by hosting high school football Pink Out Games across the state.

“We are truly grateful that Farm Bureau Insurance continues to strongly embrace this event and cause,” said Jenny Stripling, senior director, community events ,for the American Cancer Society.
The American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 Making Strides walks held nationwide.

“Farm Bureau of Tennessee is one of our most generous supporters,” Stripling said. “The impact of their fundraising, community engagement and passion is immeasurable. We are honored to partner with such a noble organization that has community service and the fight against cancer at the core of it mission.”
