Bartlett High School students and personnel went through a lockdown drill as a precaution on Thursday, Feb. 11, after the Bartlett Police Department received information about a possible weapon on campus.
A statement on the BPD’s Facebook page noted that no weapon was located on school grounds, and officers didn’t arrest anyone on school property. But a juvenile who was not a Bartlett High student was taken into custody several blocks away outside city limits on a weapons charge.
The matter remains under investigation.
