
The Bartlett Police Department (BPD) handled the following incidents the week of Nov. 23-29, 2015.
This listing includes the most notable incidents for the reporting period and does not necessarily reflect all police activity.

Nov. 23
Leeridge Drive (auto burglary)
A woman reported on Nov. 23 that someone had burglarized her vehicle between 5:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Nov. 16. It was parked and left unlocked in her driveway on Leeridge Drive. Items stolen included a black leather purse ($5) from beneath the driver’s seat. The purse contained her son’s ADHD medication, Clonidine ($10) and Omeprazole ($10).
Nov. 24
U.S. 70 (burglary)
Someone broke into the Fountain of Truth Church (7306 U.S. 70) between 9 p.m. Nov. 23 and 9:20 a.m. Nov. 24. The items stolen included an HP E-Book mini laptop ($1,000), Sony videocamera ($200), and several envelopes containing cash (totaling about $115).
Shadowbrook Drive (residential burglary)
Someone stole an estimated $1,480 of belongings from a Shadowbrook Drive home between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24.
The burglar pried the front door open and stole a 150-lb. dark gray combination safe measuring 18 by 18 inches ($200) and containing $200 in cash, his/her Michael Kors watch ($600), a bottle of buprenorphine medication ($135) and an Alkatel smart phone ($30). Also stolen from a table’s drawer was a silver Pandora bracelet ($300), a pair of earring studs ($5), and a knife sharpener ($10). The matter remains under investigation.
Clair Douwie Cove (theft)
A woman reported on Nov. 24 that someone had stolen a firearm from her Chevy between Nov. 8 and Nov. 22. The missing Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver ($500) is black with a wooden handle. She said she usually leaves her vehicle unlocked at her home.
Kirby Whitten Parkway (attempted auto burglary)
A man reported that the alarm on his Silverado went off at 4:30 p.m. When he checked, he found that someone had opened the glove compartment and rummaged through its contents. Nothing was missing, and he said he had not locked the truck when he parked it.
Nov. 25
Stage Road (business burglary)
Police responded to a business burglary at 5:56 a.m. Nov. 25. They found that the front glass door of Bartlett Electronic (5836 Stage Road) was broken ($300), and a concrete block was lying in the entryway.
Items stolen included three TVs that had been by the front door, a 65-inch Samsung silver LCD TV ($1,500), a 55-inch Phillips black LCD TV ($500), and a 32-inch Polaroid black LCD TV ($500).
Wolf Shadow Lane (residential burglary)
A man reported that he and his family were at home when they heard a loud noise at their front door, as if someone was trying to kick in the front door. He immediately called the police.
The front door was damaged, but the suspect did not gain entry into the victim’s home.
The victim’s surveillance video at 11:37 p.m. showed a vehicle drive in reverse northbound on Wolf Shadow from Ellis Road and stop in the middle of the street.
An unknown black male got out of the front passenger seat and ran to the victim’s front door. There the suspect tried to get inside by kicking the door. He ran back to the vehicle about a minute later, and the suspects left westbound on Ellis Road.
The suspect was described as a thin black male wearing what appears to be a white long-sleeved shirt and gray sweatpants with light-colored shoes.
There was no known description of the second suspect driving the vehicle at the time of the report.
The suspects’ vehicle is described as a four-door sedan, possibly silver or gray, with muted tones.
