An armed robbery at CVS pharmacy led the reports from the Bartlett Police Department (BPD) for the period of Nov. 16-19. Other incidents included thefts and aggravated burglary. Most of the vehicles targeted for thefts were left unlocked.
This listing includes the most notable incidents for the reporting period and does not necessarily reflect all police activity.

Nov. 16
Pembroke Ellis Drive (theft from motor vehicle)
A man reported Nov. 16 that someone stole multiple items from his truck while parked on Pembroke Ellis.
Between 5 a.m. and 5:20 a.m. on Nov. 16, someone entered his unlocked truck and took a pair of Beats by Dre headphones, the headphones’ black carrying case and a change holder containing about $50 in coins and bills.
Carriage Creek (theft from motor vehicle)
A man reported Nov. 16 that someone stole a weapon from his white Dodge sometime between 4 p.m. Oct. 6 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 15. He was not sure where the crime happened but said he thinks it was at his residence on Carriage Creek.
The weapon was a black Kel-Tec PF9 9mm semi-automatic handgun kept in the vehicle’s center tray, below the radio.
Nov. 17
Shadowlawn Road (attempted theft of a motor vehicle)
A man reported on Nov. 17 that someone tried to steal his truck overnight. Someone entered his unlocked vehicle, which had the keys still in the ignition, and was thwarted only when the truck got stuck in the front yard.
The vehicle is a 2008 Chevy Silverado truck ($25,000) towing a MQ generator ($15,000). The attempted theft caused about $50 in sod damage.
Broadway Road (theft from motor vehicle)
Someone stole a handgun from an unlocked truck parked in a Broadway Road carport. The owner reported on Nov. 17 that the theft happened between 5 p.m. Nov. 15 and 11 a.m. Nov. 17. The handgun was a Glock 17 ($500).
Dawnhill Road (aggravated burglary in progress)
A woman’s son notified her that he’d seen a man trying to enter the locked back door of her home on Dawnhill Road midday on Nov. 17. Multiple officers arrived, searched the home and determined that the suspect had climbed out of a rear window on the north side of the home.
They searched the surrounding area but did not find the suspect. He was a white male wearing a light blue hoodie and jeans.
Oak Road (motor vehicle theft)
Someone stole a 2002 pewter Nissan Frontier pickup from the driveway of a Oak Road home. The owner noticed around 3 p.m. Nov. 17. He believes it was most likely stolen overnight on Nov. 16-17 and that he failed to notice the theft when he left home for the day. The keys had been left in the truck, which was unlocked.
Nov. 18
Stage Road (business robbery)
Officers responded at 1:03 a.m. Nov. 18 after three black males targeted the CVS pharmacy at 6670 Stage Road for robbery of prescription drugs.
The pharmacist on duty was behind the counter when the men entered the front door and came straight to the pharmacy. One jumped the counter and pointed what appeared to be a black semi automatic handgun. He asked where the Percocet was. The pharmacist opened the narcotics safe, and the suspect took an unknown number of filled prescription bottles. He then asked for and took all the Suboxone and took an unknown amount.
The two suspects that entered behind the pharmacy counter were dressed in black pants and black long-sleeved shirts, and they wore white pillowcases over their heads and latex gloves on their hands.
The suspects left in what appeared to be a black newer model Toyota Camry.
The responding officer for the Bartlett robbery contacted the Memphis Police Department’s Ridgeway precinct at 5:50 p.m. about a comparable robbery at the CVS at 6620 Winchester Road, Memphis. That robbery also had three suspects, similarly dressed, demanding Percocet.
Gillette Cove (theft from motor vehicle)
Someone stole a woman’s purse ($50) from her unlocked van, she reported on Nov. 18. She said the van was left unlocked in her driveway because it had a flat tire. The theft happened between 6 p.m. Nov. 13 and 3 p.m. Nov. 17.
Nov. 19
U.S. 64 (motor vehicle theft)
Video surveillance showed an unknown male wearing a red jacket walking in the parking lot. Officers saw him trying to break into the ATM at the Bank of America, damaging the machine but not accessing the money. Then he pulled on several vehicles’ door handles in the Lowe’s parking lot before stealing the victim’s truck.
