Arlington, Lakeland candidates vying for school, city offices

voteEditor’s note: Candidate profiles for Lakeland and Arlington were not published in the Bartlett Express this week due to incomplete participation by all candidates.

Both Arlington and Lakeland will vote on Sept. 17 for new city and school board officials.

Candidates in Arlington are:

  • Mayor Mike Wissman (incumbent and unopposed)
  • Alderman, Position 1: Larry M. Harmon Jr. and Brian “Brian Elder” Groves
  • Alderman, Position 2: Gerald W. McGee (incumbent) and Lee Mills
  • Alderman, Position 3: Jeff McKee (incumbent) and Harry “Scooter” Spore
  • School Board Position 2: Robert Elliott Sr. and Barbara A. Fletcher
  • School Board, Position 4: Kay Williams (incumbent and unopposed)

Candidates in Lakeland are:

  • Commissioner (two seats): Michele Dial, Larry Pardue, Joshua Roman and Justin Smith
  • School board (two seats): Teresa Henr (incumbent), Geoff Hicks, Susan Miller and Mica Partain.

Lakeland residents will also vote on whether to allow wine sales at retail food stores in the city and whether to permit retail package stores to sell alcoholic beverates in the city.
