St. Benedict Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach Nick Dressman (left) was recently selected by the TSSAA Division 2-AA West Region coaches as Coach of the Year in his first season at SBA. He was presented his Coach of the Year plaque by SBA President George Valadie (center) and Athletic Director Greg Stiel (right) at half-time of a recent basketball game.Dressman joined the SBA coaching and teaching staff this fall. He came to Memphis from southern Ohio to play soccer at the University of Memphis. This followed a most successful high school career where he was his team’s leading scorer all four years and was named 2nd team All-State as a freshman and sophomore. He earned 1st team All-State honors in his junior and senior years. After two seasons with the Memphis Tigers, he transferred to Western Kentucky, and was a starter as his team reached the NCAA-Division II Final Four Championships. He earned his degree in Organizational Leadership.
Nick has experience in coaching Club Soccer for both boys and girls, as well.
