Twenty cents off every gallon of gas is one way to make a great first impression. At least one church hopes so.

Members of New Season Church, a new church that currently meets at Bolton High School, introduced themselves to their community by offering inexpensive gasoline and free bottled water. The church members not only pumped the discounted gas, they also cleaned the car windows.

They cheerfully did the work from 10 a.m. until noon on July 25 at the Fastimes gas station (2022 Rosemark Road) in south Tipton County.

Mark McCall, the church’s campus director, said, “We think this is a positive way to let people know we’re their new neighbors. We believe that it is the church’s job to serve and give back to the community. We feel that helping pay for someone’s gas is a great way to do just that.”

The church currently meets at Bolton High School at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. “New Season Church exists so that people far from God may experience life in Christ and become fully engaged followers, McCall said. “Our desire is to reach those that either have never had a church home or those that have but are seeking something dynamic and relevant to today’s world.”
