Shelby Farms asks for ‘Spooky Nights’ helpers

Shelby Farms Park is planning ahead by asking for help NOW for a fall event: They need zombies. They also need other volunteers. Training will occur July-September.

Zombie volunteers

The park is seeking actors to volunteer as zombies for Spooky Nights programs held every Friday and Saturday nights in October. If you are interested, you will need to attend one of these Wednesday sessions:

  • July 22
  • August 19
  • September 9

All of the sessions are 6-8 p.m. at the Yurt in Shelby Farms Park.

Seeking ‘Spooktacular’ volunteers

 

Spooky Nights
Creepy “two masks in one” from a previous Spooky Nights.

Shelby Farms Park needs volunteers for Spooky Nights, which occurs in October. (See dates at end of this article.) The volunteer roles include:

  • Cashiers
  • Nocturnal nature hiking guides
  • Cueline volunteers
  • Trail guides
  • Parking volunteers
  • Pumpkin carving + harvest crafts volunteers
  • Headless horseman carriage rides + hay rides volunteers

Roles will be assigned at check-in.

Daates for Spooky Nights 2015 include:

  • Oct. 2-3, 7-10 p.m.
  • Oct. 9-10, 7-10 p.m.
  • Oct. 16-17, 7-10 p.m.
  • Oct. 23-24, 7-10 p.m.
  • Oct. 30, 7-10 p.m.
  • Oct. 31, 7 p.m.-12 midnight
