Saint Francis-Bartlett appoints new CEO

Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett has announced that Chris Locke began his new position as chief executive officer effective June 1.

Locke will oversee all strategic, operational and clinical activities for the 196-bed acute care hospital located in Bartlett.

In 2012, Locke had served as the hospital’s interim chief executive officer.

“Chris is a natural leader who has extensive experience in operations, physician engagement and strategic planning,” said David Archer, Saint Francis Healthcare chief executive officer. “His prior experience at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett allows Chris to hit the ground running to ensure the hospital continues to provide the community with high quality medical care.”

Locke joined Tenet Healthcare, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett’s parent company, in 2006.Most recently he served as chief operating officer at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga. Previously, he was the chief operating officer at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin, Ga.

Locke holds a master of health administration degree from Washington University School of Medicine and a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Kansas.

He enjoys being active in the community, having previously served on the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and other health-related organizations.
