Youth Leadership Bartlett graduates received plaques at the graduation ceremony on April 19.
The 2014-15 class of 19 sophomores and juniors completed their nine-month course of leadership training and team building.
Students learn about the Bartlett community through sessions about public works, economic development, community health, local and state government.
Career preparation is another part of the Youth Leadership program as students attend sessions on personal and financial responsibility, as well as a job shadowing day where students choose a profession to shadow a person on the job for one day.
Youth Leadership Bartlett is a program of the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and works closely with the community to provide this program. Applications are available now for the 2015-16 class through the chamber’s website at bartlettchamber.org.
