Bartlett Movies in the Park to open April 10

Movies in the ParkBartlett’s popular Movies in the Park summer series, now in its third year, will kick off on April 10 with “Big Hero 6,” a 3D computer-animated superhero action comedy released by Walt Disney Pictures.

The free series, offered by the Bartlett Station Commission, will feature a family-friendly movie every couple of weeks on Friday nights.

Shows will be in W.J. Freeman Park (2629 Bartlett Boulevard), and the event includes food truck and other vendors to make family picnicking easy. The vendors arrive at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Other movies on the lineup for 2015 include:

  • “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” on April 24
  • “How to Train Your Dragon” on May 8
  • “The Goonies” on May 24
  • “Finding Nemo” on June 5
  • “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” on June 19

    This is great. I have wanted to do this since l was a little girls. I would watch classes movies and see the dates and families in the park with movie playing and add myself to that part. Now it is a dream come true because it is now possible for me to walk my husband and family to the park and have movie and dinner in the park. This now a 3 year family tradition and we all love it.
