The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department has released the following statement regarding gunshots being fired near Bolton High School Friday afternoon.
Just after school dismissal, a group of teens began fighting a male student. During the physical altercation, someone fired at least 2-3 gunshots after which everyone scattered. There were no injuries and the victim will be okay. We believe the individuals (suspects) were NOT students at the school and that this may have stemmed from a neighborhood disagreement that carried over.
