The Dukes of Dixieland will blow traditional jazz and Dixieland into this Saturday’s performance in Bartlett. They perform at 8 p.m. March 14 at the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center (BPACC), 3663 Appling Road.
The group is New Orleans’ oldest continuing jazz band, with more than 40 years of tradition. Two brothers and their father formed the group in 1948.
The band today weaves strands of pop, gospel and country in with their authentic promenading New Orleans sounds. Check out their sound online at dukesofdixieland.com and on their Facebook page.
The performance will be hosted by Brother, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin D. Kimery and Lane Music/Memphis Music. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at bpacc.org or by calling the Box Office at (901) 385-6440.
