A 16-year-old Arlington High School sophomore jumped to his death off the Davies Plantation overpass onto I-40 around 6 p.m. Monday night.
Although the student’s name has been discussed on social media, officials had not released the student’s name as of press time.
More than 200 AHS students met 35 minutes before class Tuesday to pray for his family and friends.
The westbound lane of the interstate was shut down at the scene for about two hours.
