Practice safety at Bartlett parade

By: Captain David Cupp Bartlett PD

Bartlett’s Christmas Parade this year will commence Saturday December 8, 2012 at 4:00pm.

I can tell you that all city services have been working on this project for the past few weeks. A lot of planning and man-hours are spent to make this event a safe and memorable part of your Holiday.

Nearly every member of the Bartlett Police Department will be working the Parade, some will be seen and others will be out of your view but rest assured that they are out there while we have our regular manpower allocated to your neighborhoods while you are out enjoying the Parade.

We would ask you not only to bring your families but to bring your patients as well. We have a lot of people in a relatively small area. After the Parade you will be allowed you leave the area just work with the Officers on the Parade Route.

The Parade Route goes West Bound on Stage Road starting at Elmore Park and ending at Shelby Street. Traffic will be restricted on Stage Road from Kirby Whitten to Elmore Park as the Parade Entries begin to line up.

The restriction will start around 1:30pm. Just remember that this is a Family Affair and any and all adult drinks are forbidden.

As always Be Safe and if you have questions or concerns contact me either via
