2015 Bartlett Festival ushers in fall fun

An overcast sky and a light fall breeze made weather just right for thousands of visitors at last weekend’s Bartlett Festival and Car Show.

The event drew guests to enjoy the midway carnival rides, arts and crafts, a cooking competition, a classic car show, a children’s area, a petting zoo, a climbing wall, bungee jumping, kiddy train rides, live music, vendors, tethered hot air balloon rides, concessions and more.

“This year we had the biggest crowd ever for a Friday night, and the weather was great along with the music and the hot air balloons!” said Debbie Gelineau, Bartlett’s director of community relations. “We estimate that over 6,000 came out and enjoyed all the activities, car show, great music and vendors this year.”

She continued, “I have heard nothing but great things about this year’s event. We are already in the planning process for next year’s festival, which we will be highlighting Bartlett’s 150th birthday.”

An estimated 130 owners competed in the 2015 car show. A list of winners was not available at press time; look for the names in next week’s edition.
