2 September events to be set at Elmwood

Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis will be the location of a Read In Peace Book Club Selection & Meeting at Elmwood Cemetery at 10 a.m. Sept. 16.

Author Richard Alley will join club members in the Lord’s Chapel for a discussion of the book. Book club meetings are free and open to the public.

A second event is “Jimmy Ogle’s Elmwood,” a walking tour set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 19.
Ogle is a Memphian and the current Shelby County Historian with a mental bank filled with city factoids and ephemera.

Regarded as one of the most entertaining storytellers in the city, Ogle weaves a delightful fabric of Memphis history that all will enjoy.
