Davies Plantation Homeowners Association held its 9th annual Chili Contest on Sunday February 10th at Hillwood at Davies Manor. There were 22 entries competing for the awards in four categories and a People Choice winner. Guest judges had the enviable task of tasting all the entries and deciding the winners while everyone attending got to sample the entries and desserts. Wine for the evening was provided by Stellar Cellar Wine and Spirits and music was by Van Criswell.
Winners selected by the judges for Traditional Style chili was Savannah and Krysha Scott, for Tex-Mex style chili was Chuck and Jayne Doan, for Unique Style chili was Karen Busler and for Healthy Style chili was Carolyn Fore. Peoples choice winner was Chris Igielinski.
